Steve Wilson sent this in: Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei have been nominated for Golden Globes for their performances in the upcoming film "The Wrestler". Rourke got the nod for the Best Performance by an actor in a motion picture drama, while Tomei got the nod for best performance by an actress in a supporting role. Meanwhile Bruce Springsteen's "The Wrestler" song written specifically for the film also got a nod for Best original song in a motion picture.
Rourke will go up against some stiff competition in Brad Pitt (Benjamin Button), Sean Penn (Milk), Leonardo Di Caprio (Revolutionary Road) and Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon). Tomei will take on Kate Winslet (The Reader), Viola Davis (Doubt), Penlope Cruz for Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Amy Adams for Doubt (2008).
Winners will be announced January 11th 2009 and the entire Golden Globes nominations list is available via this link.

I am sure you are already covering this, but I thought I would send word any ways:
The Golden Globe nominations just came out today, and "The Wrestler" is nominated in 3 of the top categories... so I am guessing it is going to be a pretty good movie... I can't wait to see it.
Best Actor in a motion picture: Mickey Rourke - The Wrestler (up against Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn, although the experts are picking Mickey Rourke)
Best supporting actress in a motion picture: Marisa Tomei - The Wrestler
Best Original Song in a motion picture: The Wrestler - Bruce Springsteen.
Pretty impressive, to give you an idea, the "Dark Knight" only received one nomination.
