AEW Collision Loaded With Two Championship Matches Tonight

AEW has loaded up the May 16 episode of Collision with two championship matches and several key bouts as the company continues building momentum following ROH Supercard of Honor.
The headline match will see Darby Allin defend the AEW World Championship against Sammy Guevara. Guevara issued the challenge during ROH Supercard of Honor, reminding everyone that he holds four victories over Allin in previous encounters. With that history in mind, the champion heads into Collision facing one of his toughest tests yet against “The Spanish God.”
The AEW TBS Championship will also be on the line when Willow Nightingale puts her title up against Red Velvet. Velvet earned momentum after retaining the ROH Women’s World Television Championship against Viva Van at Supercard of Honor before later calling out Nightingale for a shot at the gold. The title clash is now official, with fans eager to see if Velvet can leave Collision holding two championships.
Elsewhere on the show, the AEW World Tag Team Championships will be defended in an Elimination Match as Divine Dominion’s Megan Bayne and Lena Kross await a mystery team. Another Elimination Match is set for the AEW Trios Championships, with The Conglomeration of Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Mark Briscoe taking on Shane Taylor Promotions.
In tag team action, Samoa Joe and Anthony Bowens will join forces to battle Jay Lethal and Lee Johnson.
The currently announced lineup for AEW Collision includes:
• AEW World Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. Sammy Guevara
• AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Red Velvet
• Elimination Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships: Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) (c) vs. mystery opponents
