After an 11-month legal battle between the Ultimate Fighting Championship and UFC Heavyweight champion Randy "The Natural" Couture, UFC has announced that Couture has signed a new multi-fight contract with the company.
In a conference call held Tuesday afternoon, UFC President Dana White announced that Couture would step back into the octagon at UFC 91 on November 15th in Las Vegas to defend his title against heavyweight contender Brock Lesnar.
Since Couture's departure from the UFC last October, the company crowned an interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Nogueirawill defend his interim title against Frank Mir at UFC's December show. The winners of Couture-Lesnar and Nogueira-Mir will then square off next spring to determine the undisputed UFC Heavyweight champion.
UFC 91 was originally scheduled to take place from Portland, Oregon but has now been moved to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas.
