In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer Revealed Keith Lee’s weight was viewed as a problem following his return from health issues after he contracted COVID-19.

"But his weight is an issue, particularly going forward when he would be called on to do longer matches and to avoid injuries. According to those in WWE, it was an issue there because of his coming back from COVID and health issues, and he looked heavier here than three months ago in WWE when he was cut." said Meltzer.

Lee took time off from WWE between February - July 2021 due to medical tests revealing that he had inflammation in his heart. WWE would not allow him to train until these levels dropped to normal.

WWE released Lee in November 2021.
