Independent wrestler Markus Crane has died aged 33.

Crane known for his work in Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and other promotions in Illinois died on Monday, two years after suffering a traumatic head injury.

He returned to the ring in April 2021.

GCW Issued the following statement on social media, ‘With sadness, GCW mourns the loss of Markus Crane. As a performer, Markus embodied the spirit of GCW. He was an underdog and an outlaw."

No cause of death has been revealed at this time.
