Mansoor recently cut his hair, going from long flowing locks to a shorter style. The reason for this was revealed during an appearance on UpUpDownDown.

"I cut my hair because my dad saw a picture of Mustafa Ali and said, 'Hey, you're on 205 Live?'"

Funnily enough, Mustafa Ali was present on this episode and chimed in:

"The worst part about it is, he really did cut his hair, his friends told me he cut his hair, and I told his friends to tell him that I also cut my hair and he got really mad, but I didn't cut my hair!"

As funny as the story is, it's not a joke. Mansoor expanded upon this in an interview with Metro.

"Of course, my entire career in WWE, I’ve always been compared to him, especially when I had longer hair. Literally, I remember doing commentary for 205 Live once – way back before the pandemic – and I was leaving the arena, and all the fans waiting aside were going, 'Mustafa Ali, yeah!' I was like, am I getting ribbed?’ OK, here’s the thing. At first it’s like, resentment, right? At first it’s like, these jerks, right? But then I remember, 'You know what, I’m gonna try this.' One time I sent a picture of Mustafa Ali to my dad and I said, 'Hey check it out! I got to Raw!' And he goes, 'Oh congrats, when was this?' So I was like, OK maybe it’s not just the fans. My own dad – to be fair his eyesight is maybe not as good as it used to be."
