The first post-WWE appearance of former NXT star Mercedes Martinez has been announced.

Martinez will challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts Championship at the October 16 WrestlePro event.

Kevin Matthews took revealed Martinez’ WrestlePro debut in a tweet, which read:

Martinez was released by WWE on August due to ongoing company-wide budget cuts.
