As reported on Friday, Adam Cole was set for an important meeting with Vince McMahon at Friday’s WWE SmackDown ahead of Cole’s contract with the company expiring later this month.

Fightful Select is reporting that the meeting did indeed take place in McMahon’s office backstage at SmackDown with McMahon viewing the situation as a "high priority" personally.

The meeting reportedly went well and McMahon appeared to like Cole on a personal level.

There have been talks about calling Cole up to either RAW or SmackDown, but of course, that is dependant on if he signs a new contract.
