The latest round of WWE roster releases once again have the world of professional wrestling talking.

On Friday, some 12 NXT stars were let go due to budget cuts and planned changes to the yellow and black brand in the coming weeks. The names release included, Asher Hale, Ari Sterling, Bobby Fish, Bronson Reed, Jake Atlas, Kona Reeves, Leon Ruff, Mercedes Martinez, Tyler Rust, Zechariah Smith, Giant Zanjeer, and referee Stephon Smith.

Chris Jericho has seemingly reacted to the NXT cuts with a comment praising AEW as the 'best pro wrestling company in the world'

“I think now more than ever it’s obvious, – @AEW is the best pro wrestling company in the world today! Both for fans …and especially for performers. Nothing can stop us now!”
