In the main event on tonight's 'Homcoming' edition of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes lost to Malakai Black.

Following the match a beaten down and emotional Cody Rhodes cut a promo teasing that he was going to retire from the ring. He talked about Daily’s Place as the AEW Amphitheater and the fact the brand had become competition despite people laughing when it launched.

He took one of his wrestling boots off and was able to leave them in the ring when Malakai Black hit Cody from behind with a crutch.
