Tom Phillips has been released from WWE.

WWE has yet to confirm the news, but it has been confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com. Phillips had been with the company since 2012.

Phillips was up until recently lead play-by-play announcer for Raw from January 2020 until this past April. He was then replaced by Adnan Virk who has since left the company after one month.

Former UFC and Bellator broadcaster Jimmy Smith will assume the role of lead RAW announcer from next week.
