Hey all, I attended a pretty good night of wrestling. My first time seeing it live
so that added to the night. They should come to Aus to do a live show (or taped) -
as long as it is on TV Id be happy.
To get things started, Shane O'Mac (thats right!) comes out, to a mixed reaction,
and thanks everyone for attending. He tells us that the McMahons have worked with
Vickie to see if Undertaker could and wanted to wrestle tonight. Of course, he told
us that Taker said YES!!!!
NB. All heels stalled for at least a minute before each match.
First Match: Matt Hardy def. MVP (to retain the US Championship).
Hardy won in a shortish match, turning MVPs corner kick into a twist of fate!!
2nd Match: Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool def. Victoria and Natalya
Long match (too long). Heels controlled Kelly for most of the night - but Kelly did
get some awesome momentum (literally, great moves) before. Michelle got the tag, and
eventually made Victoria tap to her heel lock.
3rd Match: CM Punk def. Shelton Benjamin
Good match once it got going. CM Punk hitting the 2nd attempt to a GTS for the win.
4th Match: Mark Henry def. Jamie Noble
Alright match - a bit slow when Henry was in control but Noble did get his fair
share of control also. Noble came off the top, and got caught into a World's
Strongest Slam for the pin!
5th Match: Miz and Morrison def. Finlay and Hornswoggle (to retain the WWE Tag Team
Championship)
Once it got going, it was a good match. It was a bit slow when Hornswoggle was being
isolated but it added to the effect. Hornswoggle did some excellent Rey-like
maneuvers to Miz. Morrison pinned Finlay after a low blow by Miz while the ref was
distracted.
Intermission
6th Match: Kofi Kingston def. Chuck Palumbo
Slow beginning and middle, but great end - alot of nearfalls. Kofi hit the Jamaican
Buzzsaw out of nowhere for the win.
7th Match: B.O.D. (Kane and Undertaker) def. Chavo, Bam Neely and The Great Khali
Good match. Good heat from the heels (especially from Chavo who got a "you're a
pussy" chant). Taker chokeslammed both Neely and Chavo, then Kane and Taker double
chokeslammed Khali in an awesome spot. Taker ended up tombstoning Chavo for the pin.
8th Match: Vladimir Kozlov def. Shannon Moore
Typical squash. Vladimir hitting his reverse DDT for the win.
9th Match: Batista def Edge by DQ (Edge retained the World Heavyweight Championship).
Before the match, Edge stalled big time and the "you're a pussy" chants began. Then
it turned into "you're a wanker" chants. Edge got on the mic and started insulting
people. Then he called everyone in the crowd a wanker. But Batista came on the mic,
and called him a wanker.
The match starts. Edge almost walked out on the match but Shane comes out and says
that if Edge doesn't get into the ring by ten count, he'll lose the title. Chavo and
Neely ended up interfering, and Batista hit the Batista Bomb onto Edge, but Neely
pulled Batista out of the ring for a DQ loss.
