Sting made a surprise debut with All Elite Wrestling on Wednesday confirming his time with WWE is over. Many fans were left disappointed by Sting's last run in WWE and had hoped he might get to work with The Undertaker in a dream match.

A report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Sting wanted to face The Undertaker in a cinematic match, but Vince McMahon had no interest in making it happen.

"Still it is known Sting wanted to do a Cinematic match with Undertaker, and for whatever reason, while fans have clamored for Undertaker vs. Sting for years, it has never been a match that appealed to McMahon."
