Pro wrestling fans have yearned for the day wrestling returns to the mainstream again, as it did in the late 90s during The Attitude Era.
The question was put to leading pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has suggested it will never return unless a megastar emerges akin to Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Rock.
"There is only one way. A larger than life star has to emerge. No promoter can make one. It simply happens. If they could, there would always be one. There hasn't been one since Austin retired and Dwayne left."
