Impact Wrestling has issued a statement to PWInsider revealing they company has terminated the contract of current Impact Wrestling Champion Tessa Blanchard and has stripped her of the title.

Impact’s statement:

"Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact Wrestling World Championship."

Fightful recently reported that Blanchard and the company were having a number of problems, and she has been unable to work since COVID-19 started in North America, she is currently stuck in Mexico.

The report noted that despite Blanchard being advertised for Slammiversary she isn't playing along.  She was recently asked to make some promos for the recent set to television tapings but she produced nothing.
