At tonight's WWE Backlash event, the Women's Tag Team Championship was defended, as Sasha Banks & SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley put the titles on the line against Friday Night SmackDown's Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross and Monday Night Raw's The IIconics in a Triple Threat Match.

The end result of the match saw Banks and Bayley retain the titles due to Banks pinning Bliss after Bliss had executed Twisted Bliss.

As a result, Banks & Bayley will now defend the titles against the team of Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart on this coming Wednesday night's edition of WWE NXT.
