According to Post Wrestling, WWE is set to address the status of the Intercontinental Championship this week.

Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn has been off WWE programming since defeating Daniel Bryan to retain his Title on Night 1 of WrestleMania 36. Zayn hasn't been working events due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement on the title situation will most likely come on Friday's WWE SmackDown on FOX. Zayn is unlikely to return and will be stripped of the title.
