Former WWE Superstar Mike Kanellis, who was recently released by WWE was interviewed by Fightful recently in which he revealed the difference between working under Vince McMahon and Triple H.Ā
"RAW and SmackDown is Vince [McMahon]. Thatās all Vince. Even with Paul [Heyman] and Bruce [Prichard], everything goes through Vince. Thatās just how itās always been. Thatās just the way that the company runs. You can either like it or you can hate it, but at the end of the day you accept it. Itās his company.
NXT is all Triple H. Triple H runs everything. I didnāt get on NXT TV, so I donāt really know how NXT TV worked. The house shows for NXT were a blast. Usually Steve Corino was running it or Norman Smiley and they had so much trust in me and Tony that were just like, āJust go do whatever you guys want and have funā. It was like being on the indies again, and I loved it.
I loved being on 205 [Live]. Triple H ran 205, but it was really Adam Pearce ā that was his baby. He had so much pride. He was so great to us.
But, the one thing I loved about 205 is we were always given time to have our matches. Like, 15-20 minute matches and they didnāt pick it apart as much as they do on RAW and SmackDown. They give you leeway to do whatever you want.
There might be a few things we run by Adam and heād be like, āYou know, if the boss is watching thatā cause sometimes heāll poke his head in, heād be like, āthatās probably not a good ideaā. He was really good about doing that."
