WWE NXT: Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Update

As part of this week’s edition of WWE NXT, the tournament to crown an Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion officially kicked off due to current champion Jordan Devlin being unable to defend the title, as he currently remains in his native Ireland due to travel restrictions related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In the first match of the tournament, Akira Tozawa defeated Isaiah “Swerve” Scott to gain the early advantage in the tournament with a 1-0 lead.
