As seen Monday, Asuka was scheduled to face Shayna Baszler on this week’s Raw. However, she was pulled from the match due to injury. Kairi Sane took her place.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Asuka’s injury and revealed Asuka suffered the injury during a Maryland WWE Live event.

"That’s legit. She hurt herself at Salisbury Maryland in a tag match. It was Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs Asuka and Kairi Sane. They’re hopeful that it will be okay by the pay-per-view on Sunday. It was a sprained wrist."

It is hoped she will be recovered for the Elimination Chamber this Sunday.
