Former WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Gillberg Retires From The Ring

Former WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Gillberg, aged 60 has now retired from the ring.

Gillberg faced former WWE Superstar James Ellsworth in his final match at an Adrenaline Championship Wrestling event and won the match with a Jackhammer.

Following the match Ellsworth tweeted:

“Last night I wrestled Gillberg in his last match @ACW_Pro

It was an honor that he chose me to be his final dance partner

He’ll still be doing appearances, just not having actual matches

He’s a one of a kind great person who’s always been great to me.”

Gillberg responded:

“Thank you my brother could have not picked a better person you da man thanks again.”

During WWE's first-ever "Festival of Friendship," Gillberg returns and suffers a beatdown from WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens.
