WWE WrestleMania 36 will feature the first NXT title match and Charlotte Flair vs. NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley on the biggest show of the year on April 5.
If you're looking for more NXT matches during WrestleMania 36 you might be disappointed to learn there are currently no plans to add any more, according to according to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
Despite NXT being promoted as the theird brand of WWE, internally WrestleMania is being reserved for Raw and SmackDown as senior officials believe NXT will have enough of a showing with NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay taking place the night before WrestleMania on April 4.
WrestleMania is rumored to have around fourteen matches with several still up in the air as WWE Chairman Vince McMahon recently called for changes to the card. John Cena was planned to go up against Elias, but according to Meltzer, that match has been nixed in favor of something else that will be set up when Cena returns on SmackDown this Friday.
Do you feel NXT will have enough representation at WrestleMania 36?
