Update On John Cena's Return To WWE SmackDown

John Cena's upcoming return to WWE SmackDown in Boston looks like it will be a big one. 

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer revealed WWE has something planned for Cena which will likely set his match up at WrestleMania 36.

Meltzer noted that Elias is not expected to be Cena's opponent as has been rumored.

"Friday in Boston they’re gonna do the John Cena angle. It’s been hinted to me, but it hasn’t been said to me that that’s what’s going to happen. It would make sense because I don’t anticipate John Cena doing a lot of TVs. So if they’re gonna shoot the angle it’s gonna be Friday, but it won’t be Elias because Elias is a babyface."
