AEW will make its own history tonight as it will feature the company's first-ever intergender match on AEW Dark. The match was taped on Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea event a couple of weeks ago.
The match was met with mixed emotions with AEW President Tony Khan not on board with the idea at first, going back to 2019 he was not impressed with Jordynne Grace getting hit in the face during an AEW event and noted after the show we would not see men wrestling women on AEW events.
A change of heart seems to have taken place however with Kenny Omega reportedly convincing the boss to give the idea a shot.
The following matches will take place on tonight's AEW Dark:
- Riho and Kenny Omega vs. Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford
- Hikaru Shida vs. Mel
- Best Friends vs. Shawn Spears and Colin Delaney
- Brandon Cutler and Sonny Kiss vs. Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt
