Ring of Honor Wrestling has announced that they are reviving the Pure Championship. As longtime ROH fans might recall, the Pure Championship had a unique set of rules which set it apart from most other wrestling titles. The first ROH Pure Champion was A.J. Styles, who captured the title in February of 2004. The final champion was Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), who unified it with the ROH World Championship in August of 2006.

Other ROH Pure Champions included Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Doug Williams, Nigel McGuinness and John Walters.
