During the latest WWE Chronicle which features John Morrison, he talked about how his journey back was the result of a butt-dial from Vince McMahon!

Morrison revealed after his run as Impact Champion he wanted to move on to bigger things, he said, "Towards the end of my run as Impact Champion, I felt like it was time for me to make a move to a bigger organization"

Morrison said he text Vince McMahon requesting he wanted to return to WWE, Vince replied but then a call came through, "I was like, ‘oh my god, Vince is calling!’ Morrison said, ‘Hey John, sorry, that was a butt dial. Let’s talk next week.'"
