AEW Dynamite: Number-One Contender Determined For Women’s World Championship

On tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, a singles match was held between Britt Baker and Kris Statlander, in which the winner would become the number-one contender for the All Elite Wrestling Women’s World Championship. Additionally, the winner of that match would also face Riho for the title on the New Year’s Day edition of AEW Dynamite.

Statlander would emerge victorious in the match to earn the title shot; however, following the match, she was attacked by Brandi Rhodes when she refused to join Rhodes’s Nightmare Collective faction, as Rhodes hit Statlander in the eye with the pointed heel of her shoe.
