AEW Dynamite: Cody Officially Makes His Career Announcement

Prior to tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite, it had been teased that "The American Nightmare" Cody would be making some sort of "career announcement," though it was not known what the announcement could potentially be about.

During an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone, Cody announced that if he is unable to defeat Chris Jericho for the All Elite Wrestling World Championship at this coming Saturday night's Full Gear pay-per-view event, then he will not challenge for the title ever again.

Cody stated that he came to the decision due to controversy over him being a member of management and getting a world title match.
