Why Wasn't The Undertaker On SmackDown’s Debut On FOX

Last night, SmackDown made its long-awaited debut on FOX but didn't feature an appearance from The Undertaker despite him heavily featuring in advertising in the build-up and once being a staple of the blue-brand.

On his Instagram, The Deadman posted a photo captioned, "20 years of SmackDown. Tonight WWE on FOX."

In the comments below the photo, Taker responded to a fan who thought he should have closed the show, and he got a reply for The Deadman, who said, "I was told I wasn't needed."

Steve Austin and Sting were also advertised but also didn't appear live.
