During tonight’s debut edition of AEW Dynamite on TNT, Cody defeated Sammy Guevara in TNT’s first professional wrestling match since March of 2001, which is when WCW was last seen on the network.

Following the match, Cody was about to be interviewed by AEW commentator Tony Schiavone, but was confronted by Guevara, who requested to shake Cody’s hand. However, Cody was then attacked from behind by AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

As previously reported, Cody will challenge Jericho for the title at All Elite Wrestling’s next pay-per-view event, Full Gear.
