WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole is reportedly suffering from a legitimate injury and was pulled from the current NXT Road Trip of the Midwest, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer.

Cole has been seen wearing a cast on his right wrist, which is believed to be the reason he has been out of in-ring action of late, although he did get physical with Matt Riddle on Wednesday’s episode of NXT.

WWE reported recently that Cole suffered a fracture of the right arm in his exchange with Riddle, it was believed at the time this was for storyline purposes but he could actually be dealing with this injury or something similar.

Riddle vs. Cole is scheduled for next week’s episode of NXT on the USA Network.
