During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided a small update on Luke Harper returning to WWE.

Meltzer noted that Vince McMahon doesn't see much in Harper and isn't keen for him to be used, thus he is being paid to sit out at home while his contract is left to expire.

His deal was originally set to expire in the fall but the company added a further six month due to a previous injury Harper sustained. He will likely be a free agent around April 2020. 

Harper asked for his release in April 2019 but wasn't granted, likely due to the fact WWE are locking down talent from leaving for AEW.
