On tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, R-Truth defeated Drake Maverick in a special singles match to retain the WWE 24/7 Championship.

The match was made during an edition of Miz TV, in which Truth and Carmella were the special guests of The Miz. Miz explained to Truth that during the segment, the normal 24/7 rules regarding the title would be suspended. During the interview, Maverick interrupted and explained that his life since his wedding, where Truth won his sixth 24/7 Championship, has been horrible.

Maverick then challenged Truth to a rematch for the title, and Miz was informed in his earpiece that should Truth accept the challenge, no other challengers would be permitted to get involved in the match to try and win the 24/7 Championship for themselves.
