Match Announced for ROH 17th Anniversary Pay-Per-View

ROH today issued the following:

Las Vegas is known for big fights and bright lights, so what better city for The Best Wrestling on the Planet to celebrate its birthday in? On March 15 at Sam’s Town Live in Sin City, Ring of Honor presents its 17th Anniversary show live on pay-per-view and for HonorClub VIP.

The show takes place three weeks before the historic G1 Supercard at sold-out Madison Square Garden, so what happens at 17th Anniversary in Vegas will not stay in Vegas; the ramifications will surely be felt at The World’s Most Famous Arena in New York City on April 6.

The first match announced for 17th Anniversary is an ROH World Tag Team Title bout pitting 10-time champions Jay and Mark Briscoe against PCO and Brody King of Villain Enterprises. (Note: If the Briscoes lose the titles before then, the new champions will defend against PCO and King at 17th Anniversary.)

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
JAY AND MARK BRISCOE (IF STILL CHAMPIONS) vs. PCO AND BRODY KING OF VILLAIN ENTERPRISES

Villain Enterprises has taken ROH by storm ever since “The Villain” Marty Scurll introduced monsters PCO and King as his new associates last month. PCO and King earned the title match by winning Tag Wars last weekend, as they defeated The Kingdom’s TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia in the opening round; won a three-way match over The Bouncers and Kenny King and MVP in the semifinals; and beat LifeBlood’s Juice Robinson and David Finlay in the finals.

Villain Enterprises and the Briscoes have already crossed paths on a couple occasions. Not surprisingly, the encounters were violent and intense. The first time they squared off was in a six-man tag match that saw Scurll, PCO and King defeat the Briscoes and Silas Young at Honor Reigns Supreme in Concord, N.C., on Jan. 13.

Then, right after PCO and King won the Tag Wars final at Road to G1 Supercard: San Antonio on Jan. 26, the Briscoes hit the ring and attacked them with chairs. A wild brawl ensued. At one point, Mark Briscoe placed PCO on a table outside the ring and hit Froggy Bow, sending PCO through the table. Remarkably, PCO got up and the fight continued, as security tried to seperate the four men to no avail.

Will PCO and King bring gold to Villain Enterprises at 17th Anniversary? Or will the Briscoes show the ROH newcomers why Dem Boys are the greatest tag team in ROH history? Join us in-person in Las Vegas, on pay-per-view or streaming for HonorClub VIP to find out!
