In the fall of 2019, WWE SmackDown Live will be moving to Friday nights on FOX and there has been much discussion regarding the timeslot it will air, 5-7 PM or 8-10 PM Pacific.

The belief is running the show in the later timeslot would help draw a stronger viewership, but the earlier slot would lead to "less complaints" but the newscasts would have to then move to 7 PM every Friday, something which is already in place during NFL on Thursday's. 

The real deal breaker here will probably be what the news stations want because while they would be willing to move their broadcasts for a highly rated football game there would not be as much support to do for a wrestling show. 

However, FOX as previously reported wants WWE to present SmackDown Live as much more focus sports brand rather than "entertainment" and as such FOX wants all their sporting events live on the West Coast, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
