Cody Rhodes Addresses Twitter Comment: “WWE Didn’t Squander Me”

Since leaving WWE in 2016, Cody Rhodes has made quite a name for himself. During his time in the company, he won six Tag Team Championships and two Intercontinental Championships. After leaving, Cody has won World Championships in both ROH and NWA. He is currently the IWGP United States Champion and expected to be part of the AEW promotion in 2019.

Rhodes recently took to twitter to respond to the notion that WWE “squandered” him:

“They didn’t squander me at all. It was a great place to learn, travel, and grow-up across TV sets. Helped shape the business side of me forever. I just had different aspirations and saw a different path I wanted to take.”
