Reason AJ Styles Missed Last Night’s Live Event, Notes On Tonight’s Impact, Line-Up For Tonight’s WWE Live Events

PWInsider is reporting that AJ Styles missed last night’s live event in Chicago due to the flu. A segment of MizTV took place in which The Miz informed the crowd that “AJ Styles has the flu and won’t wrestle tonight”. Shane McMahon informed Miz via telephone that he could take Styles’ place. Mustafa Ali then walked out and worked his way into a one on one match with The Miz for the title shot. Daniel Bryan came out to interrupt leading to a Disqualification which turned the title match into a triple threat cage match 

Impact Wrestling will air Part 2 of its Best Of 2018 tonight as well as promoting its January 7th Homecoming PPV. Impact will also unveil its Top 5 matches of 2018 as voted on by the fans. The final airing on Pop will take place January 3rd before debuting on Pursuit TV on January 11

WWE will be running two live events tonight and below are the line ups for both shows

Raw brand in Columbus, Ohio:

*Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose in a Steel Cage match.

* WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax.

* WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable vs. The AOP.

* Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Finn Balor.

* Bobby Lashley vs. Elias.

 

Smackdown Brand in Long Island, NY

* MizTV with John Cena.

* WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles in a steel cage. (Note: Styles is questionable as he missed last night due to an announced illness)

* WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair.

* Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton.
