WWE Cruisereight Champion Buddy Murphy will defend his title against three opponents at January's Royal Rumble.

205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick announced that a series of qualifying matches will determine the Australian Superstar's opponents. 

The matches are: 

• Kalisto Vs. Lio Rush
• Akira Tozawa Vs. Drew Gulak
• Hideo Itami Vs. Cedric Alexander

Murphy captured the title at WWE Super Show-Down, in his hometown of Melbourne.

The 2019 Royal Rumble will take place January 27, next year, and will also feature a Universal Title match between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman, as well as two Royal Rumble matches.
