At tonight’s WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs event, Asuka emerged victorious over Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion after winning the first-ever Women’s Triple Threat TLC Match.

Asuka’s victory came following interference from Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, who pushed both Becky and Charlotte off of a ladder as they were fighting. This allowed Asuka to climb another ladder and retrieve the championship.

Asuka’s victory marks her first reign as champion.
