Former TNA wrestler Samuel Shaw is being linked with joining WWE soon, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. 

Shaw made his debut in TNA following the 2012 "Gut Check" which the company then used as a tryout programme to recruit new talent. Shaw made a few appearances and was involved in a storyline with Christy Hemme but he never had a big role in the company and eventually left in June of 2015.

Shaw did tryout out at the WWE at the Performance Center a few months after his TNA departure but was then not offered a contract.

This time around Shaw has impressed WWE officials and is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in January.
