Former NWA President Bruce Tharpe announced the passing of Jose Lothario aged 83. Lothario (Guadalupe Robeldo) is a former NWA World Tag Team Champion, an NWA Tri-State Louisiana Heavyweight Champion, a former WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Champion and he won several titles in World Class Championship Wrestling. 

He appeared as Shawn Michaels trainer on WWF television in 1996 and 1997.

Lothario became a household name in Houston the 1970’s with his most memorable feud against Gino Hernandez in 1978.
