Why Was Undertaker's SmackDown 1000 Promo So Short?, Backstage Edits Made

As we previously reported, WWE was forced to keep Tuesday's 1000th episode of SmackDown to a two-hours due to time constraints and obligations with Facebook to air Mixed Match Challenge at 10 PM EST.

As such there were a few edits made to the show. The Undertaker was originally supposed to say more during his promo that closed the show, but the return of Evolution went on longer than planned and in addition, the opening to the show with "Truth TV" and The McMahon's wasn't running on time.

In other production changes, Rey Mysterio vs. Nakamura was planned to open the show, but that was changed at some stage before going on air,  R-Truth’s "Truth TV" segment was planned for later in the show and a James Ellsworth promo was cut and shown on YouTube.
