Why Was Kurt Angle Forced To Take A Sabbatical As Raw General Manager?

As seen on Monday's WWE Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle was told he needed a break from his duties by Stephanie McMahon and Constable Baron Corbin was made acting General Manager. The move left many wondering about Angle's future in WWE.

According to Joe Peisich from Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast, he noted that giving Angle a sabbatical was a way to write him off television for a while because when he comes back Angle will be returning as a full-time wrestler. Peisich also added that he is expected back in-ring this October.

There are also plans for Angle to be used on the upcoming Australian Super-Showdown event.
