Charlotte Flair Wins SmackDown Women’s Championship At WWE SummerSlam, Gets Attacked By Becky Lynch

At tonight’s WWE SummerSlam event, Charlotte Flair became the brand new SmackDown Women’s Champion for the second time in her career, which also gave her her seventh overall championship in WWE. This ties the record currently held by WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

Flair defeated Carmella and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match to win the title after pinning Lynch.

Following Flair’s victory, she and Lynch exchanged a hug in the ring; however, Lynch then attacked Charlotte, eventually sending her over the German announce table at ringside in a segment that the fans cheered and also chanted “You Deserve It!” as Lynch was leaving the ring.
