WWE announced yesterday that Trish Stratus would be returning to face Alexa Bliss at the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view and she's not expected to be the only former women's wrestler to return. In fact Lita, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool and many others are expected to make up the 50 women advertised.
On today's Wrestling Observer Radio it was revealed that Nikki Bella will be on the show and the current plan is for her to main event the PPV against Ronda Rousey.
Dave Meltzer said the thinking behind having the two women in the main event of the show is because both are currently the two biggest women in the company and would draw a lot of attention for the event, although Meltzer does note plans could change but it was at least the thinking heading into SummerSlam this weekend.
Evolution pay-per-view taking place on October 28. Below is the current card:
- Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus
- Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella
- Mae Young Classic Finals
