Two Female Talents Pulled from ROH Honor Re-United Tour, Replacements Announced

Posted By: Caylon Knox on Aug 15, 2018

Ring of Honor Wrestling has announced that female talents Tenille Dashwood and Chardonnay will be unable to perform at the Honor Re-United tour. As a result, Kay Lee Ray has stepped up to compete at all three events of the tour, as she will be taking on Viper, Charli Evans and then Ayesha Raymond.

The following comes from ROHWrestling.com:

Kay Lee Ray is one of the world’s best professional wrestlers, set to make her Women of Honor debut at the Edinburgh stop of the Honor Re-United Tour. Now, due to injuries to two competitors, Kay Lee is stepping up to the plate and will compete on all three stops of the Honor Re-United Tour!

Due to an unfortunate, non-serious medical condition, Tenille Dashwood has been ruled out for the Honor Re-United Tour and will return at Philadelphia Excellence. In addition, Chardonnay has also been ruled out due to injury and will be unable to compete.

Because these athletes will not be competing, the Ring of Honor Board of Directors have made substitutions and changes to the Women of Honor matches that will be taking place in the UK.

On Thursday, August 16 in Edinburgh, Kay Lee Ray will take on STARDOM SWA World Champion Viper in a non-title match. On Saturday, August 18, Kay Lee will then take on the debuting Charli Evans in Doncaster. Finally, on Sunday August 19, Kay Lee takes on the debuting Ayesha Raymond in London!

On last year’s Global Wars Tour, current Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai competed four times in four days, a tour that reinvigorated Sumie ahead of the Women of Honor Championship Tournament and which she has credited for getting her ready for the tournament that followed in the ensuing months. Will we see Kay Lee Ray make an impactful debut and use the tour as a launching pad like Sumie did the Global Wars Tour last year? Only time will tell!
