Legendary wrestling manager, Jim Cornette never backs down from heat aimed his way from wrestling fans all over the world, except that of actual bullets he fears may come in his direction.
Cornette revealed on his podcast, Jim Cornette's Drive-Through that he wore a bullet proof vest given to him by police escort, during Mid-South events in Little Rock, Arkansas during the 1980's.
"In Little Rock Arkansas, and this was early in the Mid-South run so probably spring time. The Little Rock Police Department did security for the matches at the Barten Collisium. They had apparently just gotten new bulletproof vests in, provided to them through the department.”
In classic Cornette fashion, he says the wrestlers he got in the ring with would get confused about his mysteriously hardened physique when they hit him with a steel chair.
Do you find this a necessary precaution or do you think it a faux pas by the famously foul-mouthed Cornette?
