At tonight’s WWE Extreme Rules event, Randy Orton made his return to WWE following Shinsuke Nakamura’s victory over Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship.

Orton started down Nakamura, who wa standing outside the ring, then suddenly attacked Hardy while Hardy was still down inside the ring.

Orton has been out of action since May, when WWE issued official confirmation that he has undergone successful surgery in order to repair a medial meniscus tear in his left knee.
