Four New Names Announced For Mae Young Classic

A Japanese icon, American Ninja Warrior star and a British up-and-comer are just some of the stars who have been announced for the latest Mae Young Classic.

Io Shirai, who signed with the company at a live event in Tokyo, is an established icon in Japan, winning several championships and being named top female wrestler three years running by the Tokyo Sports newspaper.

Joining her is Katy Catanzaro, who is best known for her appearance on American Ninja Warrior, and for being listed in Sports Illustrated's Fittest 50.

Jinny is a new-comer, being less than three years into her career. Despite this, the London-born star has appeared at PROGRESS wrestling and is the first female graduate of the PROGRESS wrestling school.

A 12-year veteran from Vancouver, Nicole Matthews has faced superstars such as Asuka, Becky Lynch, as well as Perfomance Center trainer Sara Amato (Sara Del Rey)
