The WWE are expecting to have additional programmes as part of FOX, once the deal with the Network begins next year.Â
In a conference call to discuss the new deal, WWE Co-Presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson stated that there have been constant discussions with the Network.
"There have been discussions around additional promotional programming that would highlight other activities in WWE. So those are certainly very positive discussions that are taking place, both on FS1 and Fox Broadcast," Wilson said.Â
Wilson also said how some of these opportunities had been laid out in the contract, but was unable to elaborate.
It has been rumored that the FOX deal will allow NXT to be aired on Fox Sports 1, but this is unconfirmed.Â
Speaking on the strength of the WWE brand, Barrios said how the WWE has continued to re-position itself.
He said: "We went from being viewed as a live-event business to more of a social, digital, direct-to-consumer media business with proven expertise around it."
SmackDown Live has already been confirmed as moving to the FOX network, beginning Oct 4 2019
